Description
Triode Variations by Ming Tsao is a 29-minute work for 21-part ensemble. The scientific area of electronic triodes has informed this composition. Sudden changes in tension are applied to the smallest fragments, meter and tempo are altered constantly, resulting in a highly complex and exciting work.
The premiere took place on 28 May 2022 at the WDR Funkhaus in Cologne, with Ensemble Musikfabrik conducted by Emilio Pomarico.
