Cichor, Slawomir – 20 Trumpet Duets for children and youngsters

Description

Besides the aspect of developing performance skills, these duets are disigned to help familiarise pupils with different musical syles. As for programme titles , they are intended as signposts for the players’ imagination. Some of the easier duets were composed with the teacher in mind as the performer of the bottom voice; in these pieces, the part of the second trumpet is significantly more difficult than that of the first. The duets are essentially meant for trumpet in B flat, but there are no reasons why other instruments could not be used, e.g. trumpets in C, cornets, flugelhorns, horns, trombones or tubas.
